Winter Chess Club

Winter Chess Club starts Tuesday the 11th, in room C3, from 2:30 to 3:40.  Coach Matt and I look forward to seeing all the returning players, and are eager to meet new players, too.

Why play chess?  Numerous studies show that playing chess improves reading and math skills.  The Seaview chess club promotes respectful behavior and fair play. Our students have won awards for good sportsmanship at state-wide tournaments.  The club is a good environment to develop social skills, with all grades playing together.  Come join the fun!

If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to call me at 425-778-7649, or email bassfam6@frontier.com.

Please
find attached the Winter Chess sign-up sheet.  Please fill out all fields.  Use back if you need more room.

Thank you!
Pam Bass

Clay Class

Come enjoy an afternoon of clay!!  Classes start October 7 and are held in the Arts/Sciences room directly after school on Thursdays until 4:00. Cost is $50 per student for a 6 class session. All supplies are included.  A limited number of scholarships are available to students on free or reduced price lunch.  We are now registering students for the entire year, but because this class is so popular, only register for ONE 6 class session right now. Registration will open again during the year if classes do not fill; at that time you can register for a repeat session.

Turn in your registration form and tuition to the office or your student’s teacher by September 24.  If you have questions about the class, please call Jane (425) 741-1259 or email jane@steele-meagherartist.com.
